Artists Open House at Unlimited

4 - 27 May 2024

This year we are hosting two very exciting exhibitions as part of May Artists Open House festival at our seafront gallery.

Firstly, Horizons, a solo show of new collage and print artworks by artist Angus Vasili. Angus is an artist known for his architecturally influenced, texturally layered and abstract infused silkscreen prints.

Combining screenprinting, photography and hand-finished collage he is inspired by urban decay - particularly torn and layered posters and billboards - which has developed into his abstract work.

He celebrated the aleatory nature of the printing process - allowing chance accidents in analogue techniques to bring about a raw and dynamic contemporary aesthetic.

The we also have 12 Vases, a collection of unique, handmade ceramics by Anna Carlson. Anna is a Brighton based artist who roots herself in a playful, curious and exploratory approach to her work. Having worked across creative disciplines she is currently enjoying experimenting with ceramics.

This edition of 12 handmade Stoneware vases, with their amazing deep electric blue underglaze, is a special project for us at Unlimited - with Anna setting herself the challenge of designing and creating 12 different vessel silhouettes over 12 weeks.

Our Artists Open House will run from the 4th to 27th May, open 6 days a week. Mondays to Saturdays 10.30am to 4.30pm, Sundays 11am to 4pm, closed on Tuesdays.
